Following a very successful adult summer reading program, the Scotch Plains Public Library has planned many exciting events for September.
On Friday, September 8 at 10 am, patrons can get into the autumn spirit by making their own cute and simple felt pumpkin. No sewing experience is required, but pre-registration is a must.
There are two book discussions on the calendar--Miss Jane by Brad Watson on Monday, September 11 at 7 pm and The Summer Before the War by Helen Simonson on Tuesday, September 19 at 1 pm.

The monthly hypertension clinic is scheduled for Tuesday, September 12 from 10 to noon.
For high school students and their guardians, Lisa Bleich of College Bound Mentor will present What to Expect When You’re Applying on Thursday, September 14 at 7 pm. Advanced registration is recommended.

For all of the local tea lovers, blogger Catherine Felegi will return to ScotLib on Saturday, September 16 at 1:30 pm to discuss more about the health benefits of drinking tea, including potential weight loss, skin benefits, and even possible diabetes control. Advanced registration is required for this event.
Finally, September’s Friday Films will feature new movies you may have missed. Titles include Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 on September 1, The Zookeeper’s Wife on September 8, The Sense of an Ending on September 15, The Shack on September 22, and Wonder Woman on September 29. Each film begins at noon.
