Scotch Plains Will Host 2-Day America 250 Celebration Later This Month
The two-day Scotch Plains event will include a parade, time capsule opening, live music, food and fireworks.
SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ —Scotch Plains residents and visitors are being invited to mark America’s 250th anniversary in a two-day celebration later this month.
The event will run from June 26 and 27.

On Friday, June 26, festivities are scheduled from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and will include a ceremony, parade, time capsule opening, food vendors and family-friendly activities.

The celebration will continue Saturday, June 27, at Shady Rest Country Club. Events there are planned from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and are set to feature live music, food trucks and a fireworks display.
"Revolution 250" is part of nationwide commemorations for the 250th anniversary of the United States. The observances recognize the nation’s founding and its Revolutionary War history.
