Scotch Plains Will Shine Light On Metastatic Breast Cancer

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Scotch Plains will once again be lighting up the night on metastatic breast cancer (MBC) on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

The Scotch Plains Municipal Complex will light in the colors of green, teal and pink as part of a global #LightUpMBC.

Along with Scotch Plains, there are 16 other municipalities participating in New Jersey, including the James Ward Mansion in Westfield.

The event came about in the township thanks to Tami Bowling — a 47-year-old Scotch Plains mother of two young daughters living with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer (MBC). She continues to pray every day that there will be enough treatment options that she will be able to watch her children grow up. Additionally, more than 225 landmarks around the world will also be shining a light.

Celebrities such as Rob Thomas, Tom Morello and Kristin Chenoweth will also be involved in this year's virtual livestream event. In addition to all METAvivor channels, it will be streamed on LiveXLive (NASDAQ: LIVX).
