Screen Cut, Attempted Burglary Reported In Scotch Plains
Underage possession of alcohol, marijuana possession and theft were also reported in Scotch Plains.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — An attempted burglary was reported by a resident on Seneca Road reported on May 30.
Patrol units responded to the home on an activated alarm and located a screen in the rear of the house that had been damaged. This remains under investigation, Scotch Plains Police report.

On May 28: Patrick Ellman, 19, of Scotch Plains was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol and providing fraudulent identification to Patrolman Dom Luciano during a motor vehicle stop. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
On May 28: Vancy T. Lopez, 20, of Plainfield was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Plainfield during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Mike Smolinski. He was transported to headquarters and processed.

On May 28: Kevin Dassy, 20, of Irvington was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Dave Belford. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
On May 29: A resident in the 1200 block of White Oak Road reported a fraud. Victim states someone gained access to her debit card information and made unauthorized transactions against her account. This remains under investigation.
On May 29: Eric D. Mathis, 56, of Elizabeth was arrested on several outstanding warrants out of Elizabeth by Officer Melissa Rivera. He was transported to headquarters and processed. Due to his level of intoxication Mathis was released on his own recognizance by Elizabeth Police and transported to the hospital for evaluation.
On May 29: Ashley L. Diaz, 24, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Also arrested was Nataly Corrales, 20, of Rahway charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Both arrests were the result of a motor vehicle stop conducted by Offcer Melissa Rivera. They were transported to headquarters and processed.
On May 30: Tishawn R. Milligan, 37, of Newark was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Gerard Rites and Patrolman Ted Florio. Transported to headquarters and processed.
On May 30: Sean J. Paulevra, 25, of Plainfield was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Scotch Plains and North Plainfield. Arrested and processed by Patrolman Ted Florio.
On June 1: A resident of Richmond Street reported a theft. Victim states an unknown male took a package from his front steps. This remains under investigation.
On June 1: A business on Jerusalem Road reported the theft of scrap metal from the rear of the property. Several old water heaters were taken from property. This remains under investigation.
