SPF Youth Baseball Association Holds Registration Saturday Oct. 9

This Saturday, Oct. 9 the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Youth Baseball Association (SPFYBA) will hold registration for the Spring 2011 season. The event will occur at Booth Field (on the intersection of Westfield Avenue and Valley Road) between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

The registration will occur for all divisions: Seniors, Majors 6th, Majors 5th, Juniors, Pee Wee, Tee Ball and Junior Tee Ball. Parents and children can also sign up at www.SPFYBA.org. Fees vary by division.

SPFYBA Board Member Rich Duthie said "We want to thank the community for their participation and supporting making the league as strong as it is and has been for over fifty years at Scotch Plains-Fanwood." The SPFYBA was formed in 1955.

"We are a nonprofit youth athletic organization," Duthie said, "and we rely on the community. We are also accepting applications for coaches and managers."
