Successful Weekends for FSPY’s 13 and over Swimmers

The 13 and over swimmers from the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA (FSPY) Swim Team followed up a successful weekend at the Long Island Holiday Invitational with spectacular swims at two invitational meets. Thirty-nine swimmers took to the Rutgers University pool to swim the 2022 Holiday Classic on December 16-18, 2022, and over 65 swimmers returned to the pool after the new year to swim the Winter Splash hosted by the Greater Monmouth County YMCA (GMNY) on January 6-8, 2023.

Tremendous effort and amazing swims highlighted the two weekend meets. The top 16 scoring swims are:

Relays

The relay team of Logan, Constable, Jones and Owen Waibel took the 1st place spot in the Mixed 200 Yard Medley Relay. Impressive swims from the 15 and over girls relay team of Logan, Constable, Sherratt and Ritter as they took 1st in both the Women 200 Medley and 200 Free Relay races. The 15 and over boys relay team of Jones, Waibel, Swenson and Kavanagh completed the relays for FSPY with another 1st place finish in the 200 Yard Free Relay.
