Theft Of Amazon Packages Reported In Scotch Plains

Scotch Plains Police also reported a van on Byrd Avenue was broken into and stolen recently.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Two Amazon packages were recently reported stolen in Scotch Plains, according to the police blotter.

On Nov. 30, a resident on Church Avenue and a resident on Short Hills Lane each reported the theft of an amazon package.

On Nov. 24: Keefe N. Shider, 55 of South Plainfield was arrested on an active warrant out of Edison
during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Zack VonLangen. Shider was transported to headquarters and processed.

On Nov. 24: A 24-year-old woman from Plainfield was arrested for possession of marijuana
during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Joe Mirabile. She was transported to headquarters and processed.

On Nov. 25: A resident on Algonquin Driver reported fraudulent activity regarding their date of birth and social security number.

On Nov. 27: A resident on Ternay Avenue reported the theft of a temporary license plate off of their vehicle.

On Nov. 30: A resident on Byrd Avenue reported the theft of a 2011 Ford E150 van. The vehicle was stolen at about 1 a.m. and was recovered by Newark Police Department several hours later. The vehicle had a shattered rear window as well as damage to the driver side door lock and ignition.
