Theft, DWI, Criminal Mischief Reported In Scotch Plains

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — The Scotch Plains Police reported incidents of theft, fraud, driving while intoxicated and more recently.

Scotch Plains Police Blotter:

On Dec. 27: Michael Priore, 19 of Berkeley Heights was arrested for criminal mischief to a motor vehicle by Detective Ted Florio during an investigation. Priore was processed and released with a court date.

On Dec. 24: Aaliyah Liceaga, 20 of Plainfield and Alexa Lopez, 23 of Jersey City were arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substance. Officer Valerie Aguirre responded to the Exxon gas station on South Ave. on a report of a dispute between two people. During Aguirre’s investigation, it was determined both Liceaga and Lopez were in possession of prescription pills and marijuana. Both were arrested, taken to headquarters, processed and released pending court.

On Dec. 22: Lamar Henderson, 34 of Plainfield was arrested for DWI. Officers responded to the 1500 block of Rahway Road at 10:50 p.m. on a report of a single-car motor vehicle accident. Officers Joseph Kostecki and Andrew Gitto conducted an investigation resulting in Henderson's arrest for DWI. Henderson was taken to headquarters, processed and released pending court.

On Dec. 22: An employee of Sunoco gas station on Route 22 East reported being a victim of theft. The employee states two men in a red Honda pickup truck pulled away without paying for $39 worth of gas. The pickup truck fled onto Route 22 East.

On Dec. 18: A resident of Jerusalem Road reports their motor vehicle was entered sometime between Dec. 17 and 18. Nothing was reported to be missing at this time.

On Dec. 14: A resident of Manitou Way reports being a victim of fraud. Someone used the victim’s identity to open a cell phone account and credit cards.
