Theft, Fraud, DUI Arrest Reported In Scotch Plains

Scotch Plains reported a number of incidents recently including theft, fraud and a DUI arrest.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Scotch Plains reported a number of incidents recently including theft, fraud and a DUI arrest.

Scotch Plains Police blotter:

On Nov. 11: The management at the U-Haul located at 2015 Rt. 22 reported a 2019 Ford transit van stolen off the lot. The vehicle has been entered stolen.

On Nov. 12: A resident on Cedar Grove Terrace reported a fraudulent Medicare transaction.

On Nov. 14: The management at the Exxon service station at 2360 South Ave. reported the theft of gas. The attendant filled a green Ford Explorer which fled on South Avenue without paying.

On Nov. 14: Tysen R. Privott, 41, of North Plainfield was arrested on an active warrant out of
Easton Pennsylvania during the course of a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Rolando Rodriguez. Privott was taken to headquarters and processed.

On Nov. 14: A 29-year-old from Plainfield was arrested for driving under the influence during a
motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Scott Leyden. They were taken to headquarters and processed.

On Nov. 16: A resident on Tussell Lane reported the theft of a black and yellow scooter valued at $150.
