Theft Of Halloween Decorations Reported In Scotch Plains

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Halloween decorations are being stolen in Scotch Plains, one resident warns.

Micki Cobos, a resident of Hill Road in Scotch Plains, reported on Sunday, Oct. 24 someone stole several of their decorations and lights and broke one of their larger decorations.

Several decorations and lights were also stolen from two of Cobos' neighbors on Crestwood Road as well.

"People in the area love to see the decorations outside my home. They always take us at least a day (if not longer) to put up for each holiday and we are constantly receiving compliments from strangers walking and driving by, but my family will be spending the next two days removing all of our decorations," said Micki Cobos. "The Halloween spirit has been spoiled and we don't want to take the chance that more of our hard work will be stolen or destroyed in the days leading up to the holiday this weekend."
