Many people underestimate the psychological toll being unemployed has on an individual. Job seekers have to gear themselves up mentally to look for jobs and this process can sometimes lead to lots of rejections before a position is found. Career Coach Rich Paino will be sharing tips on how to mentally prepare for job searching this Saturday, February 8 at The Breakfast Club at 8 .a.m.
Paino is a business owner, consultant and professor speakers who often focuses on the topic t “Psychology of Re-employment”. He has a MA in Organizational Behavior and is pursuing a PhD in Organizational Psychology.

The “Thriving During Change,” workshop he is leading on Saturday is geared to help attendees come to terms with their situation and be self-assured when looking for new opportunities. Projecting a confident attitude is extremely important and job seekers need to realize just because they lost their jobs they didn’t lose their skills.
The Breakfast Club meetings are the 2nd Saturday of the month at the Days’ Hotel Conference Center, 195 Rt. 18 South, East Brunswick. Job seekers, and people employed attend the meetings to network and learn new skills.Networking begins at 7:30 a.m. and the speaker presentation starts promptly at 8 a.m. After the presentation everyone is expected to give their elevator pitch to help them connect to others in the room. The elevator pitch included names, position or companies you are interested in and a brief description of how you can help others.
There is a $10 admittance fee to cover the cost of the room. The group also has a LinkedIn page and Yahoo group.
