Westfield’s “Just Babies” Re-Brands to “Westfield Little School” for the New School Year; Adds Enrichment Programs to Quality Childcare
September 25, 2013 WESTFIELD, NJ -- After eight years providing exceptional childcare for infants to five years of age, Westfield, New Jersey’s “Just Babies” has been re-branded effective September 3, 2013 to “Westfield Little School”. The decision comes following numerous conversations with senior staff members of the well-regarded local childcare facility and its member families as a way to better to communicate the range of services they provide.
“We understand there is nothing of greater importance to parents than the educational development of their children and a warm, nurturing environment for them to flourish in,” said Jaci Diamond, Westfield Little School owner & Scotch Plains resident. “The name change better reflects the population of children we provide care for and our focus on providing a daily loving and enriching experience.”
Westfield Little School will continue to offer parents a variety of amenities to ease their daily challenges; including extended hours of operation (7:00 am – 7:00 pm daily), laundered sheets, a participatory lunch program and a variety of both on-site and off-site enrichment programs. New enrichment programs beginning this Fall include classes at My Gym located at 1100 South Avenue, Fanwood, a Music program with Wharton School of Music Specialist, Computer Instruction and a Yoga program.

Along with Diamond, a 15-year pediatric speech pathologist veteran, Westfield Little School’s day-to-day operational leadership is overseen by Director Lauren Wentzheimer. Wentzheimer has been instrumental in the program’s development since 2005. “At Westfield Little School, our teachers are able to provide a supportive environment and devote more time to each child, resulting in proven academic benefits,” said Wentzheimer.

The childcare center has four classrooms: Infant, Waddler/Toddler, Preschool, and Pre-K. The home-like environment lends itself to playing and learning together. “The younger children benefit from having models for language and play, while the older children learn to be gentle with their younger, smaller friends,” said Diamond. Its proximity to downtown Westfield ensures a variety of special events throughout the year, as well as a sense of the community.
