ELIZABETH, NJ — Authorities are asking the public for help to identify a woman's body found near train tracks in Elizabeth on June 11.
The body was found in the afternoon along railroad tracks off of the 300 block of Port Avenue in Elizabeth, acting Union County Prosecutor Lyndsay V. Ruotolo and Elizabeth Police Department Deputy Chief Giacomo Sacca and Director Earl Graves jointly announced.
Members of the Union County Homicide Task Force, New Jersey State Police Crime Scene Unit, Union County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit, and Elizabeth Police Department arrived at the scene to investigate.

Police are describing the body as a possibly Black or Hispanic woman in her late 20s to early 30s, standing about 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-6, with no distinguishing marks or tattoos on her body, Ruotolo said.
