On Sunday, September 16 at 2pm, the Woodland String Quartet will perform their 48th annual concert at the Scotch Plains Public Library. Seating will be on a first-come, first-seated basis starting at 1:45pm.
This year’s theme is Mozart and Tangos, anchored by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s string quartet #21 in D major, which will also include pieces from Alexander Borodin’s Quartet #2 and three tangos: El Choclo, La Comparsita, and Por una Cabeza. Members of the Quartet for this performance are first violinist Debra Biderman, violinist Lubove Schnable, violist James Dykema, and cellist Douglas Hardin.
This program is free and open to all interested attendees, until capacity is reached. More information can be found at www.scotlib.org. The Scotch Plains Public Library is located at 1927 Bartle Ave, one block from Park Avenue in the center of town.
