YMCA Sends 34 Swimmers to Long Course National Championships
The championships will take place from July 25-29 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.
Thirty-four members of the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA (FSPY) Swim Team, along with head coach Chris Karelus and assistant coach Lauren Sharkey, left Sunday July 23 to compete at the YMCA Long Course National Championships. The championships will take place from July 25-29 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.
The 2023 long course team is comprised of several swimmers taking their first trip to Nationals, as well as the following senior swimmers, who recently graduated from high school and will be swimming in college: Will Crall (Yale University), Bridget Davis (University of Connecticut), Owen Higinbotham (Lehigh University), Colin Kavanagh (Williams College) and Lauren Lane (Loyola University).
