You belong at the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA this Fall

Registration for Fall 2 programs begins October 24

There’s something for everyone at the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA. This Fall, the Y is offering a variety of programs for youth, teens and adults.

Find what makes you happy at the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA. The Y is excited to offer a variety of Fall programs for youth, teens and adults, including sports, gymnastics, dance, health and fitness options, and so much more.

From October 22-31, the Y also is offering a Joiner’s Fee Special of only $20.22 – a savings up to over $75. All proceeds benefit the Y’s scholarship fund to support our neighbors in need.

New members can participate in the special and join in time for Fall 2 program registration, which begins Monday, October 24 at 9:00am. Learn more about the benefits of YMCA membership and join online at fspymca.org/join-the-Y.

Program registration is open to active members at fspymca.org/register under “Daxko Program Registration.” The Y’s Fall 2 program session runs from Nov. 7-Dec. 23, 2022.

The Y continues to offer programs and services included with membership such as: group exercise classes for all fitness levels and interests; lap swimming and water walking lanes; family swim; select adult sports programs; open gym; special events, and more. Plus, the Fanwood-Scotch Plains Y now has a virtual wellness platform that members can access anytime, anywhere!

You can view all the Y’s offerings in the Fall 2 Program Brochure or read on for some program highlights from the upcoming session.

Youth Gymnastics: The Y’s caring teachers encourage each gymnast to progress at their own pace – whether their goal is to someday be a competitive gymnast or just to have fun. This Fall, the Y is offering classes for toddlers through teens with classes for all levels.

Youth Dance: The Y is offering several classes for kids ages 3 and up, aimed at introducing them to different techniques, building or enhancing skills and having fun! Plus, don’t miss out on the popular Gymnastics/Dance Combo class!

Youth Sports: There’s sports of all sorts and something for everyone at the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA! For preschoolers, there’s All Star Sports, Gym Time and Gym Ninja; for school age kids, there’s Ninja Warrior, Cheerleading and Basketball, and for teens, there’s a Volleyball program.

Youth and Family Specialty Programs: Parents can enjoy a night out without the kids, while the kids have a blast at the Y with the Kids Night Out program, held the second Friday of each month, October through June. And new! Family Fun Nights, held on the first Friday of each month, include a variety of activities such as games, arts and crafts, fitness, sports, and more, for quality family-time fun.

Preschool Programs: Kids ages 3-5 can enjoy “A Trip to the Aquarium” and dive into an underwater adventure as they learn about different sea creatures. Or, they can try “Adventures in Art” and learn about famous artists, different art styles and fun techniques.

Health and Safety classes: The Y continues to offer American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR and AED courses, along with a variety of Lifeguarding courses. These programs are open to Y members and members of the community.
