3 Teens Beat, Robbed A Fourth In Schmidt's Woods In Secaucus

This happened last Tuesday evening, said police. A local Secaucus teen was arrested; two others remain at large. One said he had a gun.

SECAUCUS, NJ — A 16-year-old local Secaucus boy, plus two other teens still at large, are accused of beating a fourth teen, and then stealing marijuana and his cell phone from him in Schmidt's Woods Park.

This happened at around 6 p.m. last Tuesday, Feb. 28, said Secaucus Police.

A juvenile victim was robbed of marijuana and his cell phone. The teen boy went to Secaucus Police headquarters to report the incident.

Police say the three teens conspired to assault and rob the fourth teen. In the attack, the teen suffered a cut that required stitches. Also, one of the teens who still remains at large said he had a handgun, said police.

The 16-year-old Secaucus teen has been charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and aggravated assault. He was taken from Secaucus Police headquarters to the Essex County juvenile detention facility.
