4 New Yorkers Tried To Use Fake Cash At Secaucus Kohl's, Cops Say

Four New Yorkers were arrested in Dec. after trying to use fake money at the Secaucus Kohl's. They then led police on a chase down Rt. 3.

SECAUCUS, NJ — A group of four New Yorkers were arrested last month after police said they tried to use fake money at the Secaucus Kohl's, and then led police on a chase down Rt. 3 west.

The incident happened just before midnight on December 21. At 11:33 p.m. that Thursday night, Secaucus police were called to the Kohl's by store security because a group of shoppers tried to use counterfeit currency.

The group of four people fled the scene and were chased by Secaucus police onto Rt. 3 west. Police pulled their car over and arrested them on Rt. 3. Mia Pollidore, 19, of Brooklyn, Octavier Rodriguez, 21, of Far Rockaway, Alexandria Alonso, 24, of Uniondale, and Maxie Ryles, 27, of Brooklyn were all charged with counterfeit currency conspiracy. Alexandria Alonso was also charged with marijuana possession and was previously wanted on an outstanding $500 warrant from Secaucus.

The four were issued summonses and released without incident.
