200 Club Of Hudson County Gives Scholarships To High School Seniors

SECAUCUS, NJ — Last Wednesday, April 29, the Hudson County Police Chiefs' Association awarded two scholarships to graduating seniors in the amount of $2,000 each.

The scholarships were awarded to high school seniors who are affiliated with the Association’s members. They were given to students who showed academic excellence.

The first scholarship was awarded to Ian Geisler, the son of retired Bayonne Police Chief Robert Geisler. Ian will be attending Dean College to study criminal justice. The second scholarship was awarded to Willow Farley, the daughter of North Bergen Police Chief Robert Farley. Willow has applied to nine different colleges but still has not decided where she will attend.

The scholarships were presented at the 200 Club of Hudson County's 38th annual Valor Awards Luncheon, held at Liberty House in Jersey City.

Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller, who is president of the association, presented the scholarships.

"I am honored to award these scholarships and congratulate the recipients on their academic achievements,” said Miller. "The Hudson County Police Chiefs' Association is an integral part of the law-enforcement community in Hudson County who will recognize the commitment of Hudson County’s law enforcement professionals through awards such as these.”
