SECAUCUS, NJ — Last week, Secaucus Cub Scout Kyle Stradford III dropped off the items he collected for the Secaucus Animal Shelter and the Jersey City Animal Shelter.
Kyle asked members of the public to purchase supplies for the two animal shelters.
He also set up boxes at town hall, the Rec Center, the library and elsewhere for people to put animal supplies inside.
In total, thanks to the generosity of the public, Kyle collected more than $2,000 worth of pet supplies for both shelters. He unloaded the supplies last Saturday at the Secaucus Animal Shelter, where he was joined by Mayor Mike Gonnelli.
Kyle is 10 and in the fifth grade at Huber Street Elementary. He is currently in Arrow of Light rank in the Cub Scouts. He had to complete a service project in order to graduate Cub Scouts in June, and this was his service project.
