World Cup Watch Party Sunday In Laurel Hill Park

SECAUCUS, NJ — The Flag Cities World Cup watch parties in Secaucus and Bayonne this weekend and next will be free to attend, announced Hudson County Executive Craig Guy.

But you are still required to reserve a ticket in advance to get in. You can get your ticket here.

Here's info. on the Laurel Hill Park event in Secaucus on Sunday, June 21 and the Stephen R. Gregg Park event in Bayonne on Sunday, June 28.

Here's what to expect for the Secaucus watch party in Laurel Hill:

11 a.m. - 5 p.m. June 21

• Live soccer matches broadcast on massive LED screens. Watch Spain vs. Saudi Arabia at 12 p.m. Sunday
• Free concert at 2 p.m. with TKA, George Lamond & Judy Torres along with special cultural performances

Live entertainment, local and international cuisine, interactive soccer zones, artisan vendor village and giant LED screens airing the games. Each event is uniquely tailored to celebrate the team, country and culture playing that day.

Each Flag City event will feature:

• Food trucks, international cuisine and beverage vendors
• Beer gardens
• DJs, live music and cultural performances
• Youth clinics, soccer games and skills challenges
• Kids' zones and family activities
• Artisan vendors, merchandise and gear

A Flag City watch party in Jersey City on June 12 (where the Village People and Giselle Bellas performed) drew 18,000 fans.

Five additional Flag Cities events are scheduled throughout North Jersey.

Presented by Goya Foods and Hackensack Meridian Health in partnership with The Meadowlands, the Flag Cities Festival brings international soccer, live entertainment and community programming.

There will be free shuttle services offered in Secaucus, Bayonne and in Journal Square, Jersey City to get ticket holders direct access to the festivals.
