Arrests Made In Arn Terrace, Allan Terrace Home Break-Ins In Secaucus

SECAUCUS, NJ — On Monday of this week, two Newark men were criminally charged with trying to break into a home on Allan Terrace in Secaucus in December.

One of the men was also charged with trying to break into a home on Arn Terrace, also in December.

Zameer Suggs and Znajay Nelson, both 18 and of Newark, are currently being held in local jails. Secaucus Police say they received information from Maplewood Police that helped identify them.

The first home break-in happened on Arn Terrace on Dec. 12, 2025:

At 4:10 a.m. on that date, two masked men attempted to break into an Arn Terrace home with the purpose to steal the resident’s BMW that was parked in the driveway, said Secaucus Police.

The men arrived in a Hyundai that was reported stolen in Irvington. The home's security system went off, said police, which startled the men and they fled the area in the Hyundai.

Secaucus Police detectives responded and gathered evidence. At the time, no arrests were made.

Five days later, at 4:54 a.m. Dec. 17, three men arrived on Allan Terrace in a BMW X3 that was reported stolen from South Orange.

Two men got out of the car and approached a home and attempted to pry the window open, but were unsuccessful. They again fled, and Secaucus Police detectives responded and gathered evidence.

Secaucus Police detectives identified Hakim White, 18, of Newark as one of the men who tried to burglarize the Allan Terrace home. He was was arrested and charged on January 23, 2026.

But two more suspects remained at large.

Then in May, detectives from the Maplewood Police Department contacted Secaucus Police and shared information relevant to both the home break-ins.

After corroborating the information provided by the Maplewood detectives, Suggs and Nelson were criminally charged Monday.

Secaucus Police say both men were involved in the attempted burglary of the Allan Terrace residence.

Additionally, Nelson was charged with the attempted burglary of the Arn Terrace home.

One suspect still remains at large for the Arn Terrace burglary.

For the Allan Terrace attempted home break-in, Suggs and Nelson are charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Residential Burglary, Criminal Attempt to Commit Motor Vehicle Theft, Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Participating in an Auto Theft Trafficking Network and Conspiracy to Commit Residential Burglary and Criminal Mischief.

For Arn Terrace, Nelson is charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Residential Burglary, Criminal Attempt to Commit Motor Vehicle Theft, Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Participating in Auto Theft Trafficking Network and Conspiracy to Commit Residential Burglary.
