JERSEY CITY, NJ — Pre-registration is required for all programs and space is limited. Children must be accompanied by an adult. You may register a maximum of six participants per reservation. Pets are not permitted on programs unless they are service animals. Nature Walk and Craft: Beach
Come on out to Liberty State Park for a beach walk and scavenger hunt, and then make a beach craft to take home with you! We will meet at the Nature Center located at 275 Freedom Way. Please dress to be outdoors and wear old shoes that can get wet or muddy. If it is a hot day, sunscreen, water, and insect repellent are also recommended. All ages welcome.

Come on out to Liberty State Park and get up close and personal with the monarch butterfly! We'll learn all about the life cycle, feeding habits, and migration journey of this amazing little insect! There will also be a butterfly craft to make and take home! We will meet at the Nature Center located at 275 Freedom Way. Be sure to dress to be outdoors and wear shoes comfortable for walking. All ages welcome.
Storytime and Craft Friday, August 14th and Wednesday, August 19th 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Beat the heat at Nature Center and hear a story about the different kinds of wildlife and habitats found in Liberty State Park. We'll then make a story-related craft to take home with you. We will meet at the Nature Center located at 275 Freedom Way. Recommended for ages 3 to 6
Hike to Caven Point Sunday, August 16 10:00 AM - noon
Join us on a leisurely hike to Caven Point and explore the natural shoreline of Upper NY Bay with views of the Statue of Liberty and New York Skyline. We'll also explore the unique features of Caven Point Beach. We will meet in Lot #1 located at 300 Morris Pesin Drive and then walk over to our beach area. Please be advised there is over a mile and a half of walking involved. Dress to be outdoors, wear old shoes that can get wet or muddy, and bring binoculars if you have them. Sunscreen, water, and insect repellent are also recommended. All ages welcome.
