SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:
On Aug. 10 at 3:24 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Hoboken Police Department to take into custody a 41-year-old woman of Union City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $2,500 along with 1 additional warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $500, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Atlantic City, NJ in the amount of $1,700, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Atlantic City, NJ in the amount of $350, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of West New York, NJ in the amount of $350, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $500 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Edgewater, NJ in the amount of $550. She was unable to post bail and was taken to the Hudson County Jail.
On Aug. 10 at 4:27 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 67-year-old man of Belleville, NJ for Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(1)]. He was issued a complaint summons to appear in court and was released.
On Aug. 11 at 4:07 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart on a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested a 39-year-old man of Hoboken, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. He was issued a complaint summons to appear in court and was released.
On Aug. 11 at 6:08 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 20-year-old man of New York, NY for Tampering with Public Records [2C:28-7A(3)] and Possession of Burglar Tools [2C:5-5A(1)]. He was issued his complaint summons along with 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.
On Aug. 12 at 10:38 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Harrison Police Department to take into custody a 27-year-old man of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of$5,000.00 with a 10% option, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of West Windsor, NJ in the amount of $950.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hamilton, NJ in the amount of $1,055.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hamilton, NJ in the amount of $550. He was unable to post bail and was taken to the county jail.
On Aug. 13 at 8:50 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 32-year-old man of Clifton, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Saddle Brook, NJ in the amount of $550. He was able to post bail, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.
On Aug. 13 at 3:54 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Essex County Jail to take into custody a 40-year-old man of Manhattan, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ with no bail issued in relation to a shoplifting incident that occurred at Burlington in March of 2023. He was found to have an additional outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $750. He was taken to the Hudson County Jail.
On Aug. 14 at 12:33 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to 1000 New County Road on a report of a fight in progress. During the investigation, the police arrested a 37-year-old man of Newark, NJ for Simple Assault [2C:12-1A(1)] along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Edison, NJ with no bail. He was issued a complaint summons to appear in Secaucus town court. Officers from the Edison Police Department responded to Secaucus Police headquarters and took custody of the man for transport back to their agency.
On Aug. 16 at 2:42 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Old Bridge Police Department to take into custody a 33-year-old man, Michael Thorpe of Elizabeth, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ for the charge of burglary in relation to a burglary that occurred on Castle Road on March 19 of this year. Thorpe was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ for the charge of Burglary that occurred at 630 New County Road on May 11 of this year, along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ with no bail for the charge of Criminal Attempt to commit Burglary [2C:5-1A(1)] for an incident that occurred on 630 New County Road, also on May 11. He was taken to the county jail.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
