Secaucus Police Blotter, Sept. 14 - Sept. 20

SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:

On Sept. 15 at 8:53 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 28-year-old man of the Bronx, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Atlantic County Central Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000. He was released on his recognizance pending a future court date. In Secaucus, he was issued two motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On Sept. 16 at 1:33 p.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective division in relation to a motor vehicle stolen from the parking lot at 16 Meadowlands Parkway on 09/15/2026, Secaucus Police responded to the NJ State Police ATTF in Newark, NJ and took into custody a 49-year-old woman, Chanika Crear of Houston, TX for Burglary [2C:18-2A(1)] and Theft of a Motor Vehicle [2C:20-10.1]. She was found to have one outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Houston, TX with limited extradition only. She was taken at the Hudson County jail.

On Sept. 16 at 2:46 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Huber Street School on a report of a juvenile who showed signs of injury. The juvenile involved was reported to be struck by a parent. Police arrested a 33-year-old woman of Secaucus, NJ for Endangering the Welfare of a Child [2C:24-4A(2)]. She was issued a complaint warrant and taken to the Hudson County Jail. Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said he did not want to comment on the child's injuries, but he would not describe them as serious.

On Sept. 16 at 4:35 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Passaic County jail to take into custody a 32-year-old man of Secaucus for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus in the amount of $2,500. He was unable to post bail and was taken to the Hudson County Jail.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
