Bayonne Man Accused Of Pressing Up Against Girls At Town Pool

A Bayonne man was arrested Friday, and is accused of pressing up against 11- and 12-year-old girls in line at the pool concession stand.

BAYONNE, NJ — A Bayonne man was arrested Friday and charged with pressing up against 11- and 12-year-old girls as they stood in line at the concession stand at the Bayonne community pool.

Police were called to the town pool at 1 p.m. Friday for a call of a man harassing children.

When police got there, a coordinator with a school day camp said several campers alleged that an adult man was making them uncomfortable. Two of the campers, a 12-year-old girl and an 11-year-old girl, also alleged that the man pressed against them while standing in the line at the concession stand.

Ronald McCall, 52, of Bayonne, was arrested at approximately 3:45 p.m. Friday. He was charged with second-degree sexual assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Police also said McCall became irate and threatened SVU detectives while they attempted to assist him when he requested medical attention. He was subsequently charged with terroristic threats.
