Bayonne Man Riding Hoverboard Hit, Killed By Car

A 40-year-old man riding a Hoverboard was hit by a car Sunday afternoon in Bayonne and killed, said the Hudson County Prosecutor.

SECAUCUS, NJ — A 40-year-old man riding a Hoverboard was hit by a car Sunday afternoon in Bayonne and killed, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor.

The victim, later identified as Matthew Anderson, was struck in the area of 40th Street and Avenue C. He was pronounced deceased at 3:27 p.m. at the Jersey City Medical Center.

The driver, a 23-year-old man, remained at the scene. No charges have been filed at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.

The county prosecutor said they did not have any further information to release.
