Bomb Threat Prompts Evacuation Of Secaucus Sam's Club, Cops Say

SECAUCUS, NJ — A bomb threat resulted in police evacuating a Sam's Club in Secaucus on Friday afternoon, police said.

Police said that employees of the Sam's Club, located at 300 Park Place, received an anonymous phone call around 1:30 p.m. saying that an explosive had been placed in the building.

The Secaucus Police Department responded, assisting with the evacuation of the store, a spokesperson told Patch.

Officers walked through the store , and no explosive devices were located.

As of 2 p.m., officers were waiting for an explosives detection K9 to conduct its own sweep of the store before it is declared safe, officials said.
