Jersey City Woman Hit By Car At XChange Remains In Critical Condition

SECAUCUS, NJ — It was a 49-year-old Jersey City woman who was hit by a car Thursday morning near the Xchange apartment complex, and she remains in critical condition as of Thursday night.

She was hit by the vehicle at the intersection of Paul Amico Way and New County Road at 6:31 a.m., said a spokeswoman for the Hudson County Prosecutor.

A Secaucus Police lieutenant just happened to be in the direct area of the crash and immediately rendered aid to the female pedestrian.

The victim — later identified as a 49-year-old Jersey City woman — was transported by EMS to Jersey City Medical Center where she is being treated for multiple injuries. She is currently listed in critical condition.

The vehicle believed to have been involved in the collision was recovered.

However, the driver has not been located or charged.

This case is actively being investigated by the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Secaucus Police Department.
