Car Stolen From Edison ParkFast In Secaucus, Police Report
An unlocked BMW was stolen Jan. 3 from the parking lot of the Edison ParkFast located near the Secaucus train station, Secaucus police said.

SECAUCUS, NJ — A luxury car was stolen earlier this month from the parking lot of the Edison ParkFast located near the Secaucus train station, Secaucus police said. It was recovered in Linden.
That Edison ParkFast is a very popular place for commuters from all over North Jersey to park, as it is located right next to the busy Secaucus Junction train station.
The car was stolen at 10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, Secaucus police said. The vehicle, a BMW X2, had been left unlocked and the key fob was inside it. The driver had self parked the BMW and left the keys inside, the owner of Edison ParkFast told Patch.

Sometime before 10 p.m. that evening, the man charged with the theft, Aaron Lockwood, 22, of Linden, had been kicked off an NJ Transit train at the nearby Secaucus Junction train station, said Secaucus police Capt. Dennis Miller. From there, he went into the lot and stole the car, police charge.
He got out through the gate without paying by tailgating another driver.

The BMW was later recovered in Linden, and Lockwood was arrested last Wednesday, Jan. 16. He was found to be wanted on seven outstanding warrants out of Somerset, NJ in the amount of $1,550, six outstanding warrants out of Elizabeth in the amount of $1,500, three outstanding warrants out of Roselle, NJ in the amount of $1,100 as well as one outstanding warrant out of Newark in the amount of $250.
For the alleged Secaucus car theft, he was charged with burglary, theft and conspiracy to commit burglary, and taken to the Hudson County Jail.
Multiple calls to the Edison ParkFast were not returned.
