Cars Parked In Secaucus Parking Lots Blasted Loud Music Saturday Night

Secaucus Police continue to patrol for illegal car meet-ups, especially after 100 cars did a street takeover of County Avenue last August:

SECAUCUS, NJ — Cars parked at Meadowlands Parkway and American Way were blasting loud music at 12:19 a.m. Sunday, said Secaucus Police.

Secaucus Police said they started receiving complaints of loud music coming from that area after midnight Saturday. Officers located three vehicles parked in a parking lot on Century Way. One of the vehicles had large external speakers; that's where the music was coming from.

The cars were parked — and blasting the music — 3,100 feet from a private Secaucus home.

Secaucus Police vow they will continue to patrol for illegal car meet-ups, especially after more than 100 cars converged in the middle of County Avenue on a Saturday night last August, doing doughnuts and blocking the road. Drivers then attacked Secaucus Police that responded, shooting fireworks and other explosives at Secaucus Police cars and climbing on top of police cars.
