Cocaine Found In Meadowlands Parkway Car Stop, Police Say

Secaucus police said this local man had enough of the illegal drug on him that he was charged with intent to distribute.

SECAUCUS, NJ — A man was arrested in Secaucus last Thursday and charged with having more than half an ounce of cocaine on him, which is a second-degree crime.

The man was pulled over at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8 on Meadowlands Parkway. Police initially stopped him for improper display of a license plate.

Secaucus police said the driver, 33, of Secaucus, had more than half an ounce of cocaine on him and he was charged with possession with intent to distribute. In New Jersey, that is an indictable, second-degree crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $150,000.

He was issued his complaint summons along with one motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.
