Fourth Sexual Assault Now Reported In Jersey City In Past Weekend

Breaking: There have now been four reported sex assaults in Jersey City over the past weekend, June 29 - July 1, announced the prosecutor.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — There have now been four reported sexual assaults that took place in Jersey City over the past weekend, June 29 - July 1, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor's office.

It is still unknown if any of the sex assaults are related, and they are varying in the details of where and how they occurred. One occurred in a hotel in downtown Jersey City. Another occurred in the city's Greenville neighborhood, where the victim, a woman, told police she initially met a man to have consensual sex, but they then got into an argument that ended in him attacking and sexually assaulting her.

But they all occurred in one single weekend, this past Saturday, June 29 through Monday, July 1. And two of them occurred after the female victims accepted rides from men they did not know. The prosecutor's office declined to answer if the women used a ride-sharing service in those two cases.
