Get Your Child's Backpack Blessed Sunday At Secaucus Episcopal Church

All Secaucus kids and teens are invited to bring their backpacks at 9:30 a.m. Sunday to get a special blessing for the school year ahead:

SECAUCUS, NJ — This Sunday, Sept. 17 the Episcopal church in town, Church of Our Saviour, will hold a "Blessing of the Backpacks" for Secaucus children and teens.

This is where all Secaucus children and teens are invited to bring their backpacks to the church to get a special blessing from the reverend, and good wishes for the year ahead as the school year begins anew.

The service begins at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. The Episcopal church is located at 191 Flanagan Way Secaucus, NJ 07094

This event is open and free to any member of the Secaucus community and their children. You do not have to be a member of the church. You can also bring re-useable shopping bags to have them blessed, as well.

Then on Oct. 8, the same church will have a blessing of the pets, where your pet (any kind of pet, even a goldfish or pet lizard or even a pet spider) can come and get a blessing from the reverend. That service is also at 9:30 a.m.
