SECAUCUS, NJ — The new High Tech High School campus is on track to open as scheduled this September 2018 in its new location in Secaucus.
The prestigious High Tech High, which is competitive to get into, used to be located in North Bergen but is now here in town. They had to leave North Bergen because that town's public school needed room to expand, according to a report in The Secaucus Reporter.
The sprawling new High Tech High campus was built near Laurel Hill park on the site formerly used by Field Station: Dinosaurs. Incredibly, they have 100 classrooms inside, a swimming pool, geothermal heating and a green roof and a 398-seat gym. There are even windmills on site to help provide alternative energy. The campus itself is 23 acres.
