Lyndhurst Youth Sports Coach Sexually Assaulted 2nd Minor: Prosecutor

SECAUCUS, NJ — A youth sports coach who lives in Lyndhurst was charged anew this week with sexually assaulting a second underage minor.

The youth sports coach is Donald Kumar Davis, 33, who currently lives in Lyndhurst and who used to live in Nutley. He is a strength and speed coach; he launched this company, Kumar Davis Fitness, for youth and high-school athletes.

The new charges were announced here Monday by Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's office has been investigating Davis since December, when police in Washington Township contacted the prosecutor’s Special Victims Unit after a juvenile there said they were sexually assaulted by Davis.

Davis is accused of sexually assaulted the child in Washington Township on two occasions, and in Wyckoff on one occasion.

Davis was arrested on December 19 and charged with two counts of third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact, plus child endangerment.

The ongoing investigation now revealed a second underage victim, said Prosecutor Musella Monday: Davis was arrested this past Sunday in Hackensack, and charged with two additional counts of third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact, plus child endangerment.

The prosecutor did not give the ages of either alleged victim.
