Secaucus Firefighters Rescue Man At Laurel Hill Park

There is a dramatic rescue underway in Laurel Hill Park Tuesday evening:

SECAUCUS, NJ — There is a dramatic rescue underway in Laurel Hill Park Tuesday evening, when a young man climbed the cliffs at Snake Hill.

He appeared unable to get back down and Secaucus firefighters and police were at the base of the cliffs trying to get him down.

The rescue operation started shortly before 8 p.m. and he was still not rescued when this Patch reporter left the park at about 9 p.m.

An eyewitness in the park said he appeared to have been rescued shortly after 9 p.m.
