Man Tried To Steal Truck From Secaucus Ford Facility, Police Say

SECAUCUS, NJ — A Pennsylvania man tried to steal a Ford pick-up truck from the Ford maintenance facility on County Avenue last Monday, said Secaucus Police.

At 7:29 p.m. Aug. 28, Secaucus Police responded to Meadowlands Ford on County Avenue on a report of an attempted theft of a motor vehicle.

Employees at the location told police he entered an unoccupied Ford F35 pick-up truck parked in the lot and tried to drive off in it. He did not show any weapons.

Employees observed him and he fled. Secaucus Police responded to the location and observed a man who matched the description of the actor. He ran from police and a foot pursued.

The police were able to apprehend and take into custody Xaziver Valle, 18, of Tobyhanna, PA. He was charged with burglary [2C:18-2A(1)] and criminal attempt to commit theft [2C:5-1A(1)].

Valle was issued his complaint summons to appear in court and was released from police custody.
