Secaucus' environmental speaker series continues this week, and this Wednesday, July 17 it's "Falcons & other Natural Predators."

SECAUCUS, NJ — The town of Secaucus' environmental speaker series continues this week, and this Wednesday, July 17 it's "Falcons & other Natural Predators" presented by Erik Swanson of East Coast Falconry. He will have an owl and falcons with him, so this is definitely a lecture not to miss and try to bring teenagers and children so they can learn something.

This a speaker series held every Wednesday night in the Meditation Garden behind the Rec Center on Koelle Boulevard; it is sponsored by the town of Secaucus environmental department. There is a speaker every Wednesday night in July at 7 p.m. They usually lecture about nature-related topics and the conversation is always lively, educational and informative.

Last week, Don Torino, president of Bergen County Audubon, talked about the return of bald eagles to the Meadowlands.
