North Bergen Man Pleads Guilty For A 2nd Time In Child Porn Charge
His phone was seized by Homeland Security agents at Newark Airport in April; prosecutors say it had hundreds of child porn images on it.
NORTH BERGEN, NJ — On Wednesday, a North Bergen man admitted possessing hundreds of photos and videos of child sex abuse, according to U.S. Attorney Philip Sellinger.
Christopher Carvajal, 30, pleaded guilty in Newark federal court to one count of possession of child pornography.
He is a repeat offender: Carvajal was previously convicted in Bergen County for a child pornography offense.

In April 2023, Homeland Security agents seized Carvajal's iPhone at Newark International Airport. A search revealed the phone contained more than 900 video files and more than 400 photos of the sex abuse of minors, including infants or toddlers.
His phone also contained communications in which Carvajal discussed his desire for sexual encounters with young children, said U.S. Attorneys.
