October Nature Programs At Liberty State Park
All free. Registration is required for all programs and space is limited.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — All of these are free and offered by the NJ Dept. of Environmental Protection.
Registration is required for all programs and space is limited. For more information or to register for a program, please contact the Nature Center at 201-915-3400 (when prompted, press 4 to be connected) or email LSPNatureCenter@dep.nj.gov. Children must be accompanied by an adult. You may register a maximum of six participants per reservation. Pets are not permitted on programs unless they are service animals.

Looking for volunteer opportunities in Liberty State Park? LSP Trailblazers focus on removing invasive weeds and vines from the Richard J. Sullivan Natural Area and general trail maintenance to improve habitat. Please dress to work outdoors with long sleeves and sturdy shoes, and bring work gloves if you have them. We will meet at the Nature Center located at 275 Freedom Way. Recommended for ages 10 & up.

As the weather starts to cool and the leaves begin to change colors, it’s a perfect time to come explore the beauty of fall in Liberty State Park. Join our Park Naturalist on this guided walk and learn how to identify some of our trees by their fall colors. Please dress to be outdoors. We will meet at the Nature Center located at 275 Freedom Way. All ages welcome.

Bring your creative skills to Liberty State Park and express your natural side as we learn about some of nature’s most captivating creations. You can also make a nature work of art to take home with you! We will meet at the Nature Center located at 275 Freedom Way. All ages welcome. This program is co-sponsored by the Educational Arts Team.
Wednesday, October 28 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM Sunset Nature Walk
Take a different look at Liberty State Park as we explore our habitats and trails to discover what kinds of animals are out and about while the sun is going down! We will meet at the Nature Center located at 275 Freedom Way. Please dress to be outdoors and wear shoes comfortable for walking. Recommended for ages 5 & up.
