Rt. 3 Car Stop Turns Up Man Wanted For Child Sex Assault: Cops
A routine car stop on Rt. 3 Thursday morning resulted in police finding a "Most Wanted" Wisconsin man sought for child sex assault.

SECAUCUS, NJ — Secaucus police say that a routine car stop they made on Rt. 3 Thursday morning resulted in them arresting a man wanted in Wisconsin for child sex assault.
Just before 11 a.m. Thursday morning, Dec. 19, Secaucus Police Officer Matthew Ford stopped a Honda Odyssey on Rt. 3 East for having a brake light out. During the stop, as is customary, the passenger Jordy Javier-Laureano was run for outstanding warrants.
The check revealed that Javier-Laureano, 39, of Milwaukee, WI was wanted by the Milwaukee police department on an active warrant for sexual assault of a child.

It later became known that Javier-Laureano was even considered one of Wisconsin’s “Most Wanted.” He was taken into custody by Secaucus police without incident.
The driver of the Honda Odyssey was issued a summons for his headlights being out and driving with a suspended registration and was released from the scene.

Jordy Javier-Laureano was charged with being a fugitive from justice. He was taken to the Hudson County Jail, where he is being held pending extradition to Wisconsin.
