Secaucus Charity Basketball Game Oct. 17 At High School

The purpose is to support the efforts of Secaucus parent-teacher organizations and their fundraising work for St. Jude's.

SECAUCUS, NJ — A charity basketball game will be held Wednesday, October 17 at the new Secaucus high school gym. Doors open at 6 p.m. The Secaucus teachers will play the Secaucus police and the Harlem Wizards will do some trick shooting at half time.

The purpose is to support the efforts of Secaucus parent-teacher organizations and their work raising funds for St. Jude’s. Over the years, the members of the Secaucus PTAs have raised close to a half million. They finished first in New Jersey in the amount they raised among all other schools in the state and even some colleges. This year they are doubling efforts to be the highest in the nation.

The Secaucus PBA is also hosting a Special Olympics event. These events hosted by the Secaucus police dept. are inspiring for the participants and their families.
