Secaucus Jenny Craig's Is Closing
The closures and layoffs are happening very quickly: There are 16 Jenny Craig locations in New Jersey; all will close for good by Friday:

SECAUCUS, NJ — The weight-loss company Jenny Craig announced this week it will be closing, according to internal documents obtained by NBC News.
The company told workers in an email late Tuesday it would close "due to its inability to secure additional financing," according to the report.
This is a national closure of all the Jenny Craig locations in the U.S. There is one Jenny Craig location in Secaucus and it will be permanently closed by Friday.

The closures and layoffs are happening very quickly: There are 16 Jenny Craig locations in New Jersey, and all employees are being told the locations will close immediately this week, and they will be out of a job by Friday.
The last day for corporate and field employees who are salaried will be May 5, NBC reported. The last day for center workers who are hourly was Tuesday.

Jenny Craig was once owned by Nestle, which is in the midst of closing multiple plants in the United States. News 12 New Jersey just reported this week that Nestle may close their Freehold plant, and 200 workers there could be out of a job.

Based in Carlsbad, California, Jenny Craig and her late husband, Sid, opened their first Jenny Craig Weight Loss Center in 1983.
At its height, Jenny Craig has about 500 company-owned and franchised locations across the country.
