Secaucus Library Has So Many December Events For Kids
While many events are already booked, there are still some slots open:

Every Monday from 6-6:30 p.m. there is story time with Miss Gina in the Secaucus Library Children's Annex. Ages 5-8. Listen to a story being read and make a craft to take home. In-person registration. At the Annex by Xchange.

Dec. 3: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Breakfast and a book with Santa and his friends. Stop by anytime during that time slot for a snack and a story with Santa and his friends from the North Pole. They will also be making some fun crafts and Christmas projects for children. The first reading session will begin at 10:15 a.m. and reading sessions will take place every 20 minutes. Refreshments will be served for children and adults. Asked to register in advance.
Dec. 4: Hygiene Project/Secaucus Cares youth project with Cathy Wolf 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Dec. 8: Holiday-themed STEM class for children ages 7-12. 4-5 p.m. in the Panasonic Room. Learn about science with a festive, holiday-themed science activity. Brought to you by local Secaucus teenager Sophia Benavente, the Secaucus teen girl who teaches 4th, 5th and 6th graders science, technology and engineering after school at the town library. You must register your child in advance.
Dec. 9: Crafty Friday. Drop in from 4-5 p.m. and create a holiday craft. Open to ages 4 and up. Registration not required but they will only have enough crafts while supplies last.
Dec. 11: Jersey Jubilation Handbell Choir. What better way to get into the holiday spirit than music! Let's ring in the holidays with a performance from the Jersey Jubilation Handbell Choir. Seating is limited please register on the calendar at secaucuslibrary.org to secure your spot. 1-2 p.m.
Dec. 13: Literary LEGOs. Listen to a fun story and build a Lego creation based on that story. 5:30-6:30 p.m. Open to ages 7-10 only. Registration required. STILL SEATS OPEN!
Dec. 14: Paws for reading. 4-4:30 p.m. Stop by to listen to a story being read and sit with a therapy dog. In the children's library Annex at Xchange.
Dec. 14: Winter Wonderland. Children ages 4 and up and adults who are children at heart are welcome to visit our Winter Wonderland. Join us for Mrs. Claus's Storytime, selfies with Santa, and holiday cupcake decorating. Come with your holiday spirit and leave with a goodie bag and holiday snacks! Space is limited please register all participants individually so we have enough spirit to go around. 4-5:30 p.m. Sponsored by: Sam's Club Secaucus
Dec. 14: Junior Bingo at the Annex Join us for a game of Jr. Bingo! Happening every month at the Secaucus Library Annex! This month's game theme will be HOLIDAY. Recommended for children ages 5-10. Registration is REQUIRED. Please note: This is a HIGH DEMAND program. Please register one child, per entry with a working phone number and email. We will call you on the day of the program to confirm your child's attendance. Confirmation of attendance is mandatory by 3:30PM the day of the program to secure their seat. *Due to capacity restrictions, their will only be one adult, per child allowed in the children's room during the program. The first game will start promptly at 6:00PM At the Annex by Xchange
Dec. 15: Watch the movie "The Grinch" and if you get there 20 minutes early there will even be a special appearance from the Grinch, the mean man in green, himself! 4-5:30 p.m. showing for kids 3-6 and then another showing of the movie from 6-7:30 p.m. for kids 7-12. Popcorn will be served. You must register in advance.
Dec. 18: Kulture Kool Holiday Performance More details to come, 10:30 a.m. in the Panasonic Room
Dec. 21: Drop-in storytime at the Annex. Get a tour of the Annex and hear a story read. 1-1:30 p.m. Ages 3-5
