SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus police and unedited by Patch, all of last week's arrests in town:

On April 1 at 1:19 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Passaic County Jail to take custody of a 22-year-old male, Abedallah Barghouti of Paterson, NJ for two outstanding warrants out of Secaucus NJ in the amount of $3,000. Mr. Barghouti was unable to post bail and he was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On April 1 at 4:37 p.m., officers from the Port Authority Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to transfer custody of a 26-year-old female, Michelle Moran of Staten Island, NY for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $100. Ms. Moran was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from custody.

On April 1 at 4:37 p.m., Secaucus police responded to the Newark Police Department to take into custody a 32 year old female, Angelica Garcia of Newark, NJ for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $2,500. Ms. Garcia was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On April 2 at 12:26 p.m., Secaucus police responded to the Belleville Police Department to take custody of a 26 year old male, Shatique Singletary of Newark, NJ for one outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $1,500 and 1 outstanding warrant out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $200. Mr. Singletary was unable to post bail for the involved warrants and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On April 2 at 11:34 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus police arrested a 31-year-old male, Anthony Galarza of North Bergen, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. A 30-year-old male, Giovanni Quinones of Plainfield, NJ was also arrested for 1 outstanding warrant out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $100. Mr. Galarza was served his complaint summons, was issued four motor vehicle summonses and was released from custody. Mr. Quinones was able to post bail for the involved warrant and he was also released from custody.

On April 2 at 3:29 p.m., Secaucus police responded to the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department to take custody of a 31-year-old female, Iman Barnes of Newark, NJ for one outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $2,500. Ms. Barnes was also found to have two outstanding warrants out of Clark, NJ in the amount of $1,000 and one outstanding warrant out of Newark in the amount of $250. Ms. Barnes was unable to post bail for the involved warrants and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On April 2 at 7:24 p.m., Secaucus police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a theft. On April 3 at 9:57 a.m., in continuance with the investigation, the police responded to the Meadowlands River Inn located at 250 Harmon Meadow Boulevard and arrested a 30-year-old male, Roja Reid of Miami, FL for Theft and Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose for having in his possession a foldable knife. Mr. Reid was served his complaint summons and was released from custody.

On April 3 at 3:43 p.m., Secaucus police responded to Restaurant Depot located at 777 Secaucus Road on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 44-year-old male, Gustavo Mendoza-Caveda of North Bergen, NJ for shoplifting and possession of Burglar Tools. Mr. Mendoza-Caveda was served his complaint summons and was released from custody.

On April 4 at 9:52, Secaucus police responded to the Hudson County Courthouse to take custody of a 50-year-old male, Richard Ross of Secaucus, NJ for one outstanding warrant out Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $2,500. Mr. Ross was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On April 5 at 7:23 a.m., officers from the North Bergen Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to transfer custody of a 39-year-old male, Jean Velazquez of West New York, NJ for two outstanding warrants out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $400. Mr. Velazquez was able to post bail and was released from custody.

On April 6 at 9:15 a.m., Secaucus police observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of 925 Paterson Plank Road. During the investigation, the police arrested a 37 year old male, Jean Cortez of North Bergen, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Mr. Cortez was served his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On April 6 at 11:03 a.m., Secaucus police responded to the area of the Rt. 3 West Hackensack River Bridge on a report of an individual walking on the highway. During the investigation, the police arrested a 49-year-old male, Joseph Baker of Carlstadt for one NCIC warrant issued by the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. Officers from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office responded to Secaucus police headquarters and took custody of Mr. Baker for transport to their authority.

On April 6 at 4:51 p.m., Secaucus police responded on a motor vehicle accident on Born Street. During the investigation, the police arrested a 60-year-old female, Linda Kitrys of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated and Reckless Driving. Ms. Kitrys was issued her motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On April 7 at 7:01 p.m., Secaucus police observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking levels at 700 Plaza Drive. During the investigation, the police arrested a 30-year-old male, Andrew Valdes of Rutherford, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Mr. Valdes was issued his complaint summons and was released from custody.
