SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus police and unedited by Patch, all of last week's arrests:
On April 6 at 12:22 p.m., Secaucus police responded to CVS located at 101 Plaza Centre Road on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 50-year-old male, Michael Barton of Jersey City for shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and possession of drug paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Barton was also found to have one outstanding warrant issued out of Union City in the amount of $2,500, two outstanding warrants issued out of Jersey City in the amount of $1,500 and one outstanding warrant issued out of Newark in the amount of $50. Both Union City police and Newark police released Barton on his own recognizance. Barton was unable to post bail for the outstanding warrants issued out of Jersey City; he was issued his complaint summons and officers from the Jersey City Police Department took custody of him for transport to their authority.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven
guilty.
