SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus police, all of last week's arrests in town:
On Aug. 10 at 1:55 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 23-year-old male, Yoofi Korsah-Brown of Irvington, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35 10A(4)]. Mr. Korsah-Brown was issued his complaint summons along with 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On Aug. 11 at 12:02 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 21-year-old female, Vanessa Benavidez of Fairview, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Ecstasy [2C:35 10A(1)], Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(1)], Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D], Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. The police also arrested a 17-year-old juvenile male of North Bergen, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $100.00. The juvenile male was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was issued into the custody of his parent. Benavidez was issued her complaint summons along with 4 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On Aug. 11 at 2:04 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 41-year-old female, Jamie Sams of Troy, NY for Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be K2 [2C:35-5.3B(B)], Possession of CDS believed to be K2 [2C:35-5.3C(B)], Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be K2 within 1000 feet of School Property [2C:35-7A], Money Laundering [2C:21-25A], Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Sams was also found to have one outstanding warrant issued out of Paramus, NJ in the amount of $500. Sams was issued her complaint warrant along with 10 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Aug. 11 at 6:39 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 17-year-old female from Newark, NJ and another 17-year-old female from Newark, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B]. Both juvenile females were subsequently released into the custody of a parent.

On Aug. 11 at 8:18 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to UPS located at 493 County Avenue on a report of a theft. During the investigation, the police arrested a 32-year-old female, Kendra Johnson of East Orange, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10A(1)]. Ms. Johnson was found to have a warrant from Paramus in the amount of $658. Johnson was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was served her complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On Aug. 12 at 3:09 a.m., Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Rodeway Inn located at 155 Rt. 3 East. During the investigation, the police arrested a 25-year-old male, Kemar Thompson of Newark, NJ along with a 25-year-old male, Amir Pulliam of Newark, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. Mr. Thompson was also found to have one outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Newark, NJ with no bail along with four other outstanding warrants issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00. Pulliam was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody. Thompson was served his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Aug. 12 at 6:17 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 35-year-old female, Shakeena Hartfield of New York, NY along with a 28-year-old female, Monessa Samuels of the Bronx, NY and a 59-year-old female, Annie Barnhill of the Bronx, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(5)] and Conspiracy [2C:5-2A(1)]. Hartfield, Samuels and Barnhill were served their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.
On Aug. 13 at 12:18 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 31-year-old male, Stephon Torres of Secaucus, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana. Torres was served his complaint summons along with one motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.
On Aug. 14 at 1:48 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 22-year-old male, Christopher Conte of Totowa, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Conte was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with two additional motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
On Aug. 14 at 9:00 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the NJ State Police headquarters in Totowa, NJ to take into custody a 42-year-old male, Santiago Villegasenriquez of Harrison, NJ for one outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $500 with a 10% option. Villegasenriquez was also found to have one outstanding warrant issued out of Union, NJ in the amount of $250 with a 10% option. Villegasenriquez was able to post bail for both involved warrants and was subsequently released from police custody.
On Aug. 14 at 8:27 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested an 18-year-old male, Justin Mastropietro of Secaucus, NJ for Possession of Alcohol under the Legal Age [2C:33-15A]. Mastropietro was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On Aug. 15 at 12:44 a.m., Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the area of 55 Metro Way. During the investigation, the police arrested a 23-year-old male, Jose Beltre-Soba from Jersey City, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Beltre-Soba was issued his complaint summons along with two motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On Aug. 15 at 9:19 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 35-year-old male, Gilmar Marquez-Hernandez of Union City, NJ for one outstanding warrant issued out of Washington Township, NJ in the amount of $500. Marquez-Hernandez was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued three motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On Aug. 16 at 2:55 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 43-year-old male, Maciej Maros of New York, NY for one outstanding warrant issued out of Weehawken, NJ in the amount of $280. Maros was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued two motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On Aug. 16 at 7:06 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the parking lot of Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a fight occurring with an assault with a knife. During the investigation, the police arrested a 24-year-old male, Annthony Ramos of Astoria, NY for Aggravated Assault [2C:12-1B(1)] and Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D]. Ramos was served his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Aug. 16 at 11:00 p.m., Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the area of Millcreek Point. During the investigation, the police arrested a 23-year-old male, Kevin Gomez-Zerpa of Union City, NJ for Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-5B(12)], Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Marijuana within 500 feet of a Public Park [2C:35-7.1A], Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession with Intent to Distribute Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-3] Gomez-Zerpa was issued his complaint summons along with one motor vehicle summons and one Town Ordinance Summons for Being an Unauthorized Vehicle in a Park after Closing Hours [TO:97-8c] and was released from police custody.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
