A man pointed a gun at another person at the Long Shot gun range Saturday night, say police, and more arrests:

SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:
On Aug. 13 at 7:46 a.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by Secaucus Police in relation to the theft of a motor vehicle from Harmon Cove Towers on March 4, 2023, police arrested a 29-year-old male, Ian Berdugo of Clifton, NJ for Burglary [2C:18-2A(1)], Theft [2C:20-3A], Conspiracy to commit Burglary [2C:5-2A(1)] and Conspiracy to commit Theft [2C:5-2A(1)]. The car that was stolen was a 2021 Volkswagon Passat. Police say Berdugo stole the car March 4 of 2023, and Secaucus Police recovered the stolen vehicle a day later, March 5, on Ferry Street in Jersey City. Police say Berdugo has no connection to Harmon Cove Towers, meaning he does not live there nor work there. Mr. Berdugo was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On Aug. 14 at 3:10 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the NJ State Police barracks to take into custody a 30-year-old male, Anthony Riley of Jersey City for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ with no bail along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Pohatcong, NJ in the amount of $650.00 with a 10% option. The warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ was in relation to a burglary into a truck that occurred at Calvin Klein located at 30 Enterprise Ave. on October 26, 2020. The warrant was issued for the charges of Burglary [2C:18-2A(1)], Criminal Mischief [2C:17-3A(1)] and Conspiracy to commit Burglary [2C:5-2A(1)]. Mr. Riley was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On Aug. 15 at 1:06 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Home Depot located at 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested a 25-year-old female, Chelsea Terhune of Union City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(5)]. Ms. Terhune was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On Aug. 16 at 7:41 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Washington Township Police Department to take into custody a 25-year-old male, Jermaine Maddox of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $600.00. Mr. Maddox was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

On Aug. 17 at 4:33 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested a 34-year-old male, Tyquan Lacaille of Brooklyn, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)], Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(1)] and Possession of Burglar Tools [2C:5-5A(2)]. Mr. Lacaille was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On Aug. 17 at 9:14 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Long Shot located at 375 County Avenue on a report of dispute between a patron and an employee. It was further reported to the police that one of the involved individuals pointed a firearm at the other involved party. Police arrested a 35-year-old male, Jonathan Rojas of Jersey City, NJ for Aggravated Assault [2C:12-1B(4)], Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4A(1)] and Unjustifiable Display of a Handgun [2C:58-4.4A(5)]. Mr. Rojas was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. The person arrested is a Range Safety Officer with Long Shot who possesses a handgun carry permit. He had a dispute with a customer because the customer was violating range rules. At the time of the dispute the customer was unarmed, did not have access to a firearm any longer nor was the customer on the firing line any longer. "As the dispute continued, the Range Safety drew his handgun and pointed it at the unarmed customer," said Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
