Secaucus Police Blotter, Aug. 17 - Aug. 23

SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:

On Aug. 17 at 2:42 p.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to an incident of credit card fraud that occurred at Best Buy on July 21, the police arrested a 24-year-old man, Sara Khadke of Jersey City, NJ for Unlawful Use of Credit Cards [2C:21-6H] and Theft of Property Lost/Mislaid [2C:20-6A]. Khadke was taken into custody at Secaucus Police headquarters, processed on a complaint summons to appear in court and was released from police custody.

On Aug. 17 at 11:07 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Bergen County Jail to take into custody a 40-year-old man, Jeffrey Im, of Palisades Park, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $2,500. He was unable to post bail and was taken to the county jail.

On Aug. 20 at 3:59 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the parking lot of the Extended Stay Hotel located at 1 Meadowlands Parkway on a report of an individual possibly attempting to break into a motor vehicle. During the investigation, the police arrested a 27-year-old man, Anthony Giordano of Watchung, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Stroudsburg Sherriff’s Office with no bail, 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Stroud Area Regional Police Department with no bail, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hoboken, NJ in the amount of $6,000 with a 10% option, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of the Scotch Plains, NJ in the amount of $1,500 with a 10% option, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of South Plainfield, NJ in the amount of $1,500 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Bedminster, NJ in the amount of $1,000. Giordano was also charged with Being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10]. He was issued a complaint warrant to appear in Secaucus town court and taken to the Hudson County Jail.

On Aug. 20 at 8:49 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 28-year-old man, Rakir Jones of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $750. Jones was unable to post bail for the involved warrant. He was issued two motor vehicle summonses and taken into custody by Jersey City Police.

On Aug. 21 at 4:34 p.m., Secaucus Police stopped a bicycle in the area of Secaucus Road and Enterprise Ave. for operating the bicycle carelessly on the roadway. During the stop of the bicycle, the police arrested a 50-year-old man, Eduardo Perez of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued by the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. Perez was taken to the Hudson County Jail.

On Aug. 22 at 1:50 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the area of 450 Plaza Drive on a report of a lost cellphone. It was reported to the police that the victim had believed that the individual who had possession of the cellphone was at that location. Police arrested a 56-year-old man, Bruce Davis of Glassboro, NJ for Theft of Property Lost/Mislaid [2C:20-6A]. Davis was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Stratford, NJ in the amount of $600 with a 10% option along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Ephraim, NJ in the amount of $100 with a 10% option. Davis was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On Aug. 23 at 5:04 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the area of Rt. 3 East and Meadowlands Parkway on a report of a motor vehicle crash. Police arrested a 23-year-old man of Union City, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. He was issued 3 motor vehicle summonses and released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On Aug. 23 at 1:52 p.m., Secaucus Police arrested a 32-year-old woman Shivangi Tandon of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $1,000 with a 10% option. She was able to post bail for the warrant and was released from police custody.
